Can a novel change your life? Maybe, maybe not. After all, a novel is about things that are not real, with characters who are also not real. This was a reading experience which I did not want to end. There were several moments when I had to just put the book down and think about what had just happened. The book is not without flaws. There is nothing complex about the language and it is very easy to read, though that can be a good thing. The last few chapters are disappointing, although that may be because the middle of the book was so moving. |
