REBOUND
(Coping with life’s uncertainties through resilience)
On Tuesday 28th July all of the student body attended the Motivational Media presentation – ‘Rebound’. Rebound had four main underlying themes:
1. The importance of positive attitudes
2. The importance of supportive friends
3. The importance of staying in control
4. The Importance of focussing on goals.
Our Chaplain, Craig Lear, has also worked with the Year 9 cohort around ‘Resilience’ before the presentation and now after. A local from Hervey Bay, Lars Olsen, was also used as a role model, with his work setting up an orphanage in Nepal.
As the Chinese philosopher Confucius said “our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do.”
