On Tuesday 5th August Year 8 students from 8J battled it out in the Q.A.M.T (Qld. Association of Mathematics Teachers) interschool maths challenge. The team, consisting of James Ferguson, Tiffany McHale and Tyler Morrison, compleed against a number of high schools within the Bundaberg district.
The Bundaberg State High trio started well, leading after the first few rounds. Unfortunately North Bundaberg High proved too strong in the final rounds, leaving our students finishing a close second.
Schools that finished in the top three places will go on to compete in the Q.A.M.T finals at the end of August at Bundaberg North State High. The best high school students from throughout the Wide Bay district will be involved in this final.
Congratulations to James, Tiffany and Tyler and best of luck in the final series.
