YEAR 8 Q.A.M.T. INTERSCHOOL MATHS TEAM CHALLENGE PDF Print E-mail
On Tuesday the 11th of August, our Year 8 Maths Team Challenge team battled it out in the finals of the Q.A.M.T (Qld. Association of Mathematics Teachers) Wide Bay North district, interschool maths challenge. The team consisting of Dimity Norbury, Jake Druett and Sam Denlay completed against a number of high schools from within the Wide Bay North district.
The Bundaberg State High trio put in a consistent effort throughout all rounds, proving too strong for the opposition, with the team eventually finishing in first place, ahead of Shalom College (2nd) and St. Lukes (3rd).
The team will go on to compete in the Q.A.M.T Wide Bay district finals in early September at either Hervey Bay or Maryborough. The best Year 8 students from throughout the Wide Bay district will be involved in this final.
Congratulations to Dimity, Jake and Sam and best of luck in the final series.
