We are after feedback about the range of magazines. There are some new titles, including Curl, Geare and Top Gear. Do students and staff like them? Will they read them?
We have had some teachers say that they will bring some of their classes down for looking at the mags so I will keep an eye on that. |

I happened on this book in the town library and can’t recall why I picked it up. Was it the cover? Was it the fact that I may have been looking for something by Richard Flanagan, and this was all that was there? Whatever the reason, I started it, albeit slowly, and then rushed through it with voracity. I could not wait to get home to knock another chapter off and when it finished, I was both thankful and disappointed. |

We have been in the process of relocating our Text Hire section/branch to the main library. Not a lot of fun and in the middle of impending cyclone/storms…
There were heaps of boxes coming down and then the removalists had the “fun” of dismantling and reassembling the compactus. Fiddly and frustrating work. I am glad it was them doing it and not me!
Still to come: getting all of the books back into the shelves and making some hard decisions about some class sets which have not been used for some time. They will probably end up going to a good home in some Pacific island!
