Two female students in science class doing experiment.Science curriculum areas cover the traditional aspects of the subject as well as providing students with a broad introduction to the wonders of the world!

Science provides an empirical way of answering interesting and important questions about the biological, physical and technological world.

Students learn that Science is a dynamic body of knowledge developed through collaborative and creative human endeavours arising from a desire to make sense of our world.

The Australian Curriculum provides opportunities for students to gain an understanding of science as a way of thinking and working and applying this knowledge in making responsible and informed decisions about real world issues.

The Australian Curriculum: Science has 3 interrelated strands: Science Understanding, Science as a Human Endeavour and Science Inquiry Skills. Together the 3 strands will ensure students are challenged to explore science through clearly defined inquiry processes and a wide range of learning activities designed to develop a life-long appreciation of Science.
